What is PsychBoost?
PsychBoost is a new initiative extended from the Hong Kong Joint School Society of Psychology, a registered student-run NGO comprising 500+ members from Hong Kong. PsychBoost is dedicated to bridging the gap between the psychology field in Hong Kong and the United Kingdom by empowering British Hong Kong students to excel their psychology careers and to enhance awareness to psychological interventions for the British Hong Kong community. We offer networking opportunities and career development support for UK-based Hong Kong students and young professionals in the field of psychology, and we are also working towards providing culturally sensitive, community-based wellbeing support to HongKongers in the UK.
What is this membership for?
This membership aims to establish a network for Hong Kong students and fresh graduates studying psychology in the UK, seeking to understand the types of events they would be interested in, such as academic seminars, networking opportunities, and skill-building workshops. It also intends to keep members informed about upcoming internship and volunteer opportunities. Membership is currently offered at no cost, ensuring accessible support and resources for all interested students.
Membership Eligibility (one of the below):
1) UK-based Hong Kong student (students at all levels) and/or recent graduates (within 5 years of graduating)
2) Interested in pursuing a psychology related career in the UK.
